Candidate who has passed 10 th examination with Common subjects specifically with Mathematics, Science & English in respective streams of Gujarat State or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to with a good academic record, shall be eligible for admission, subject to such other conditions prescribed by the ATMIYA University and State Government from time to time. All admissions are provisional and subject to the approval of ATMIYA University.
Candidate who has passed Qualifying examination of two years TEB /Industrial Training Institute (ITI)/IGTR Certificate Course in equivalent streams of corresponding to diploma Computer engineering as per prescribed by the State Government from time to time is eligible for the admission in 2 nd year provided, he/she has to compulsorily undergo a bridge course Exam and complete certain components.
The Program
1. Shall extend over a period of three years comprising of six semesters for candidates taking admission in 1st semester
2. Shall extend over a period of two years comprising of four semesters for lateral entrants
3. Comprises of two semesters in one academic year wherein each semester normally will be of minimum 90 teaching days.
The medium of instruction and examination shall be in English except for courses on Languages other than English. However, candidates shall have the option to answer question papers in Gujarati language, unless otherwise stated therein.

Automobile Engineering
The Automobile Engineering provides in-depth knowledge of vehicle engineering, incorporating elements of mechanical, electrical, electronics, software, and safety engineering it is applied to the design, manufacture, and operation of motorcycles, cars, buses, trucks, etc. and their respective engineering subsystem. At Atmiya, Automobile Department was established in 2012 with an intake of 60 students. The Institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Atmiya University, Rajkot.
Globally demand for automobile engineers, the department has the vision to enrich the knowledge of students and update the latest technology of automobile engineering. The Department offers a 6-semester Diploma program with Industrial training in the 5th semester. It is a Credit-Based Curriculum with a proper blend of laboratory classes. Each subject carries 3 to 6 Credits, Practical Subjects in addition to Basic Engineering, Basic Sciences and Management Subjects. The Department of Automobile Engineering has got well-equipped laboratories such as Engine Testing & Pollution Measurement Laboratory, Automobile Engine Laboratory, Automobile Transmission Laboratory, Automobile Electrical Laboratory & Vehicle Body Engineering Laboratory.
The department maintains a liaison with Industries. With the opening up of manufacturing plants by global players in various parts of the Gujarat Region and country, the increase in demand for automotive experts in the domestic and international markets, students of automobile engineering have a bright future ahead.
Civil Engineering is one of the highly critical engineering domains where a perfectly built structure can facilitate people with much comfort but a minor mistake made by an engineer can take away hundreds of lives in seconds. So, deep knowledge and perfect understanding of the concepts and requirements of civil engineering is highly desirable. Civil engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics and material science for the design, analysis, construction and maintenance of civil structures. The department has highly qualified faculty members engaged in teaching with the aim of achieving excellence in various fields. The faculty members are specialized in different disciplines of Civil Engineering. Department provides Environment Friendly infrastructure with state of the Material Testing labs with Advanced Equipment. It also works on innovation in education system with involvement of students and faculties. Technical Knowledge is given to students by providing Expert and Guest Lectures through inviting different experienced industrial person from Field. Institute through Audio & Visual Aids also provides digital Education. It mainly focusses on Practical assessment through weekly test, Mid-Semester test, project work and industrial training for practical knowledge enhancement.

It conducts various co-curricular activities like Seminar, Expert Talk, Workshop, Group Discussion, Quiz, Industry Visit etc and extra-curricular activities like Soft- Skill Development Activities, Cultural Program, Sport’s Day, Yoga Day Celebration, Teacher’s Day Celebration, Celebration of Festivals, and Activities of Community Services. Electrical engineering is a mother branch or core branch having various subsidiaries like Control engineering, Electronics engineering, Automation Engineering and many more. Electrical engineering surrounds us everywhere in modern society. The electrical engineer supplies us with the ability to harness electricity which has transformed our lives. It gives us light, heat, entertainment, communication systems and comfort. The program provides the necessary competencies to enable students to develop, select, commission, maintain and diagnose faults/malfunctions on advanced electrical equipment and systems. The electrical engineering training provided includes national Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council (ERAC) requirements for an electrician’s license. Successful completion of electrical engineering courses will open you up to jobs such as an electrical engineering. Electrical engineers create and design products and information systems using scientific principles combined with natural curiosity, problem-solving and innovation. It covers a wide range of careers including energy and power development and supply, automation and communications engineering, microelectronics and technical informatics.
The Mechanical Engineering department was established in the year 2005 to provide quality education to the students in the area of Mechanical Engineering and to cater the needs of industry. Department has well developed infrastructure for diploma program in Mechanical Engineering. The department has excellent laboratory facilities and workshops, well-qualified and experienced staff in all the interdisciplinary areas of mechanical engineering. We create a conducive environment for teaching – learning process and our faculty members always strive hard for academic excellence and overall personality development of students. The department is offering consultancy by using CAD/CAM software such as Pro/Engineer, MASTERCAM. Department also conducts training programme for industry person and academicians.
